The Tamang Society of America (TSA) has announced that the Special General Meeting notice currently being shared on social media is not an official notice of the organization.

According to the organization, the notice was published by Chandani Lama, who is under suspension following the Executive Committee’s majority decision made on July 11, 2026.

TSA states that the notice was released without the approval of the Executive Committee or the official authorization of the organization. Therefore, the meeting announced through that notice is not an official program of the Tamang Society of America.

The organization said that such actions may create confusion, misunderstanding, and division within the community. It has requested all members and supporters not to attend the meeting.

TSA also announced that its regular Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on August 22, 2026, and invited all members and supporters to participate.

The organization further stated that it made repeated efforts to resolve internal issues through discussion and dialogue. According to the statement, the organization showed flexibility and repeatedly invited discussions to find a solution, but those efforts were ignored. It said the meeting is being organized without the official approval of the organization.

For these reasons, the Tamang Society of America stated that the meeting is not an official meeting of the organization and is against the organization’s constitution. It has once again requested all members not to participate in the meeting.
