
The 12th Convention of the Tamang Society of America in New York City was a historic and highly successful event marked by unprecedented public participation. Out of 670 registered voters, 501 cast their votes, making this the highest voter turnout in the society’s history. Tamang community members from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut actively engaged in electing their new leadership team for the 2025-2027 term.

The success of this general convention was made possible by the dedication and hard work of Election Officer Br Lama, Sanu Maya Tamang, Raju Tamang, and other supporters. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a milestone in our community’s history.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to all the candidates who participated in the election. Their participation ensured a democratic process and a fair and peaceful election. Their commitment to the community is highly valued.
We also express our deep appreciation to former President Buddhiman Tamang and his team for their invaluable contributions. During his tenure, President Buddhiman Tamang generously donated $20,000 to TCBC President Indra Tamang, demonstrating his commitment to the community’s growth and sustainability.
Additionally, we acknowledge and appreciate Srijana Lama and Akkal Tamang’s generous contribution of $5,000 to the trustee’s account.
